1st day : Cusco to Boca Manu and Blanquillo
We take you from the hotel to the airport, where you
take a small airplane to Boca Manu ( 45 minutes).
Your guide will be waiting for you at Boca Manu airfield,
then you go by boat to Manu Bio station. In the afternoon,
we visit the Cocha Blanco (lake) and observe monkeys,
caimans, birds, etc.
You spend the night at the platform in Manu Blanquillo.
Night excursions are offered optionally. (frogs, insects,
snakes can be seen)
2nd Day: Macaw clay licks and mamal licks
Early in the morning, we head for the macaw’s
clay licks where macaws and parakeets come to eat
the clay at the licks. After this display, we explore
some paths in the surrounding area of Blanquillo and
we occasionally stop to see some monkeys and birds.
After lunch, we visit the clay-lick of Maquisapayoq,
where we spend the night on a special platform protected
by mosquito nets. Here we will be able to observe
some tapirs.
3rd Day: Maquisapayoj to Boca Manu
After breakfast, we go to Boca Manu by boat and head
for a lake in the Isla de los Valles (Valley Island),
home to a family of giant otters. We overnight in
a lodge in Boca Manu.
4th Day: Boca Manu to Cusco
After breakfast, we are taken to the airfield in Boca
Manu and we fly back to Cusco. Upon arrival, transfer
to the hotel is provided.
